Devoted to educating and expanding the repertoire for string quintet, SYBARITE5 breaks down conventional musical boundaries to boldly step forward into a new genre of chamber music.

Their latest projects include: Radiohead Remixed- commissioning, performing, and recording classical works inspired and influenced by the band Radiohead, as well The DIDO Project- melding art technology & humanism in the heart of the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. Ongoing projects include: the Alternative Venues Initiative seeking out untraditional performance venues as well as an International Composition Contest.

SYBARITE5 has appeared on the CBS Early show and numerous times at the Aspen Music Festival, performing at Benedict Music Tent, Wheeler Opera House, and Harris Hall. In Manhattan they have performed at Lincoln Center, Time Warner Center, Tishman Auditorium, the Museum of Sex, the Core Club, and with Ten O’ Clock Classics at the Cutting Room. In 2008 they were the first string quintet admitted to the Aspen Advanced Quartet Studies program, where they worked with Earl Carlyss of the Juilliard Quartet, bassist Edgar Meyer, as well as the Cavani, American, and Ying String Quartets. In 2009 SYBARITE5 represented the Aspen Music Festival in a new capacity as the AMFS Alumni Ensemble, and just announced a 2010 residency at the cell theatre in Chelsea.

Critically acclaimed, SYBARITE5 adroitly manipulates musical styles and genres to challenge the way classical chamber music is presented today and is considered one the most versatile ensembles of its kind.

SYBARITE5 is a non-profit arts organization based in New York City and continues to perform at the Aspen Music Festival, pioneering groundbreaking performances of the old and the new.
