Sybarite5 debuts at #11 on the Billboard charts
Hello, S5 fans (and accidental visitors)! We’ve got some very, very exciting news to share with all of you. Our new album, Disturb the Silence, is debuting this week at #11 on the Billboard Charts! This is a first for us, and we are thrilled to have made a recording that so many people are listening to. We are honored keep the company of such varied and eclectic artists as The Irish Tenors, eighth blackbird, and Zoe Keating. So if you don’t have it already, please go to iTunes, CDBaby, or Bandcamp and help us turn #11 into #1! In other news, we are fresh off of a residency in sunny Sarasota, Florida, where we had a jam-packed week of concerts and school/outreach appearances, culminating in our Gala performance at Holley Hall. In addition to the World Premiere of Paul Kim’s arrangement of Radiohead’s Weird Fishes and the premiere of a two-minute piece written for us by this year’s New Music Idol winner (New College junior Susanna Payne-Passmore), we performed Francis Schwartz’s Cannibal-Caliban. And please do not miss our last NYC performance before we head off to Aspen for the summer, where we will reprise our role as the Official Alumni Ensemble of the Aspen Music Festival and School. On June 2 at 8:30PM we will return to Lincoln Center, performing our signature program THE SHUFFLE EFFECT at the David Rubenstein Atruim. The concert is FREE, folks! So come on out and shuffle with us.
