How do you get to Carnegie Hall...?

We hope this finds you all well and gearing up for Spring! We are excited for a busy few months coming up, but first we would like to announce that we will make our official Carnegie Hall Debut at Zankel Hall on November 13, 2012! We know that November is a still half a year away, but we are thrilled about it and hope that you’ll save the date for us! Stay tuned for updates about what we have planned for this extremely special concert. Much sooner, we will be giving the world premiere of New York Minutes by NYC-based composer Mohammed Fairouz.  If you haven’t yet heard “Momo’s” music, and it seems like it’s everywhere these days, please join us either at the cell (where else?) on March 31 or at the Five Boroughs Music Festival at Brooklyn Conservatory on April 1. This piece is wonderful and was written with our signature style in mind, and we can’t wait to share it with our audiences here in New York. Both of these concerts will also include new arrangements of works by Brahms and Rachmaninoff, done for us by the always-incredible Paul Sanho Kim.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our new friends in Erie, PA. We played at the Penn State Erie’s “Music at Noon series on Feb. 2, and worked with some wonderful students at the college. It was our first concert back following Louis’s paternity leave (see previous blog post if you haven’t heard the good news!), and we were so happy to perform for such a warm, appreciative audience. We look forward to traveling to Pawling, NY at the end of the month for a concert as well!

We would also like to take this opportunity to give a shout to our new management team at Concert Artists Guild. We have so enjoyed working with them so far, and look forward to a great partnership with many exciting projects on the horizon! Thanks for reading, and do check back here often for updates!

Until next time, Angela, Laura, Louis, Sami and Sarah Sybarite5
