Carnegie Hall tickets on sale today!
Dear Friends, Today is September 13. This means a) Sybarite5 is invading Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall in exactly two months on the Concert Artist Guild Series, and b) you can now purchase your tickets via the Carnegie Hall website!
It is our honor to make our official New York debut in this special place that has played such an important role in the musical life and history of our city. This concert features not one, but many world premieres- from a foot-tapping performance piece by Francis Schwartz to the rollicking conclusion of a three-part suite written for us by the accomplished Dan Visconti, not to mention a brand new Radiohead arrangement by Paul Sanho Kim and music by the astounding and prolific Mohammed Fairouz! You’ll also hear our eclectic mix of styles, including works by Barber and Piazzolla, the Armenian composer Komitas, the Turkish gypsy band Taraf de Haidouks, and of course a healthy dose of Radiohead. We are honored that CAG, our wonderful management, has chosen this concert to kick off its yearly series in Carnegie Hall. All in all, we could not be more excited about this event and urge you to buy your tickets as soon as possible!
We also had a wonderfully busy summer that included our Canadian debut, our first appearance at the Chautauqua Institute, and a concert under the stars in Great Neck, Long Island. Looking to the fall season ahead, we will be making many stops along the road to Carnegie Hall. We look forward to upcoming concerts in Connecticut, Virginia, Idaho, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Long Island and Arizona, as well as performing a juried showcase concert at the Performing Arts Exchange conference in Miami Beach, Florida later this month. So if you don’t happen to live in New York, please check out the “Shows” section of this website to see when we’re coming to your area!
Once again, we hope you will join us for our debut, and bring a friend or five!
